Start Here
1. Contact kit coordinator Carol Indermuhle,
indermuhle@ohio.net
or (330-658-4731) to determine which kits are currently needed.
2. Read detailed instructions for your kit type so you can prepare:
3. Bags for the kits can be made or inexpensive bags can be purchased at www.tansclub.com. Instructions for making drawstring bags or zippered sewing bags can be found at:
4. Purchase items for the kits. (Note: School supplies can often be purchased for a good price during the back-to-school sales.)
5. Labels are required to each box of kits to ensure that it gets routed to the correct distribution center. To obtain labels you may:
6. Organize a work night and create an assembly line to pack the kits.
7. If using drawstring bags, after filling the kit, tie the strings in a bow so the contents don’t spill out. If it is in a knot and needs to be cut, they can’t reuse the tie string bag
8. Deliver the kits to any Distribution Center and they will be routed to the Distribution Center listed on your kit labels.
(To know which Distribution Center to put on your label, look at the kit title right above where it lists the kit contents.)
9. For questions concerning Haiti kits, contact Brett/Cindy Shorb cindys@adamswells.com
