Learn & Discern

It doesn’t matter whether this calling you are feeling is just an initial thought or something you have wrestled with for months. It also doesn’t matter if your decision-making timeline is near term or years down the road. The purpose of these groups is to provide accountability and encouragement as each person works towards what God has for them.

Can anyone join?

Learn & Discern is intended for those within the Apostolic Christian church. All ages and stages of life are welcome!

What does a typical meeting look like?

Each group meets via video conference for an hour approximately twice a month. Participants share updates or prayer requests, discuss relevant topics, and pray for one another.

Who would be in my group?

Groups are formed based on availability and schedule. Groups range in size from 4-10 individuals of all ages.

Is this group only for people actively considering the mission field?

No. While many people do join Learn and Discern for that purpose, others join as they consider a move to a small church or because they desire to grow in their local outreach efforts in the States.

What topics do you cover during meetings?

Topics vary due to the group participants’ needs and interests. Some examples of topics covered include challenges and opportunities in small churches, understanding spiritual gifts, how to share the gospel with your neighbor/ coworker, and how to help without hurting in international missions.
